A Vanguard code adds Charter time or Vanguard Permits to your account. Sign in, open the Vanguard store and type it in. Each code works once, for one account.
The whole game is free to play. A code is one more way to get Vanguard.

Sign in
Open XETODUS in your browser and sign in to the account that should get the code. No account yet? Create one first. Guest pilots need to save their account before they can redeem.

Open the Vanguard store
In the game, open the Vanguard store. The Charter tab and the Permits tab both have a Redeem a code box, and so does Account settings.

Type the code
Type the code as printed: four groups of four, like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Capital letters, dashes and spaces do not matter. Press Check code to see exactly what it adds.

Redeem it
Press Redeem. Charter time is added on top of any time you already have. Permits arrive after a short hold of up to 72 hours and are collected at a station hangar, like permits you buy.
Playing on Steam? The Steam version does not show the code box. Open XETODUS in your browser, sign in with the account you use on Steam and redeem there. The time shows up in the Steam game too.

Keep your code safe
- A code works like cash: whoever redeems it first gets it. Do not post it or send it to anyone you do not know.
- Buy codes only from sellers you trust. We never ask you for a code, a password or a payment in a message, an email or in chat.
- A code bought with a stolen or disputed payment can be canceled, and we may take back what it added. Keep your receipt.
- Refunds for a code you bought in a store are handled by that store.
Questions, answered
What does a code add?
Either Vanguard Charter time (1, 3 or 12 months) or a pack of Vanguard Permits. Charter time stacks on what you already have and waits behind an active subscription. Combat stats of standard modules, XP rates, loot and fees are the same for everyone.
My code does not work. What now?
Check it for typos and try again. A code that was already used, canceled or has expired shows the same message. Write to [email protected] with the first four symbols of the code, where you bought it and when. Please do not send the whole code.
Can I give a code to a friend?
Yes. Anyone can redeem it once on their own account, so only share it with the person it is for.
Does a code expire?
Some codes have a last day to redeem. Press Check code to see it before you redeem.
