XETODUS Has Launched
The Xetodus Cluster is open. XETODUS, a free-to-play space MMO that runs in your web browser, is live for every pilot on desktop and mobile.
Three hundred years ago the last free ships of humanity fled through an alien ring into a cluster of stars nobody had named. The door closed behind them. Today, that cluster opens to you.
XETODUS is live. It is a persistent space MMO that runs in your web browser: no download, no launcher, and free to play. Create a pilot, choose a faction and undock in under a minute, on a PC, a Mac, a Chromebook, a phone or a tablet.
What awaits you
- A galaxy to cross. 750 star systems of Secure, Contested and Lawless space, linked by jump gates. Warp to planets, stations, asteroid belts and anomalies in one seamless universe that every pilot shares.
- Ships you fly yourself. Small ships are flown by hand: aim, strafe, boost and drift. Big hulls command turret batteries. Work up from a nimble skirmisher to gunships, heavy warships, fighter tenders, flagships and behemoths, then fit every slot and paint your own livery.
- Combat with weight. Hunt Hollow Crown raiders, assault their strongholds and face world bosses. Shields, armor and hull break in that order. When you want a real fight, other pilots wait in Contested and Lawless space.
- Mining and a player economy. Every ship and module is built from ore someone mined. Cut ore from the belts, refine it, manufacture modules and hulls, and trade it all on each station's order book.
- Land on living worlds. Ride the plasma of atmospheric entry down to oceans, forests, ice and lava. Set down at a spaceport, or anywhere flat enough, and harvest what the surface offers.
- Colonies. Found a colony on a planetary plateau and grow it from an outpost into a domed city. Research technologies, terraform the planet over days and defend what you built.
- Exploration. Scan the dark for derelict caches, relics of the crossing and signals nobody has charted.
- Skills you earn by doing. Skills level from 1 to 99 as you play: gunnery by landing hits, mining by mining, trading by trading. Master one and your ship wears its regalia for every pilot to see.
- Clans and territory. Found a clan, fill its treasury, go to war and plant territory beacons in Lawless space.
Free to play, for real
Every combat, mining and trade ship, every module, star system and core skill is open to every pilot for free. Credits, ships and modules can only be earned in play.
The optional Vanguard Charter ($4.99 a month) is how you support the game: more pilot slots, more market orders and contracts, Vanguard liveries, a monthly Aether stipend and members' skills to train. It never sells power. XP rates, combat stats, loot and rewards are the same for everyone.
Play anywhere
XETODUS runs in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Graphics presets from Low to Cinematic adapt to your hardware automatically, and phones and tablets get touch flight controls. Install it as an app for a full-screen window and a home-screen icon.
