You can delete your XETODUS account and its data at any time. Every route to delete an account requires proving that the account is yours: you sign in first (or, for an account that uses Google or Steam, sign in through that provider again just before). This page has no form that sends email, and we never send a deletion link to an address that someone typed here. The same rules apply however you delete.

1. In the game or on the web client (sign in required)

Sign in at xetodus.com/play, in the desktop or mobile app, or in the Steam app. Open Account settings, choose Your data, then Delete my account. You confirm with your passphrase, or with a fresh sign-in through Google or Steam if that is how you sign in, then the code from your authenticator if you use one, and by typing your callsign. Deletion starts immediately. Download my data is in the same place if you want a copy first.

2. Steam-only accounts and when you cannot sign in

An account created through Steam has no email address: sign in with Steam in the game or the Steam app, open Account settings, Your data, and delete there (you will be asked to sign in with Steam again just before, to prove it is you). If you cannot sign in at all, for example you lost your passphrase and your recovery codes, first try Forgot your passphrase on the sign-in screen. If that does not work, write to us from any address with your callsign and what you remember about the account; this is a message to our support team, not an automatic deletion, and we may ask for more proof so that nobody can delete an account that is not theirs. Parents and guardians: to delete a child's account or ask what we hold, write to [email protected] with the callsign.

3. What is deleted, and what we keep

• Deleted: your account, callsign, email, sign-in methods, pilots, ships, items, credits and progress, chat and private messages, friend list, activity records and referral records. Your callsign and pilot names become available again.
• Kept: payment records (amounts, dates and status, with your account reference removed) for tax and accounting, typically up to 7 years; a record that the deletion happened (a number only); anonymous game history that no longer points to you, such as market trades and kill records showing "Deleted pilot"; staff records of sanctions needed to protect other players. Backups are deleted within 90 days. See the Privacy Policy, section 5.
• Subscriptions: a renewing Vanguard Charter is set to end at the end of the period you paid for; the current period is not refunded. If you subscribed through Steam, Google Play or Apple, cancel there too.
